For most people, synonymous with sailing adventure and thrills. It was in the adveture in the old days, when communications technology was not that deveoped. But still the ocean can be a lonewly palce to be. Currently, with the help of innovative progression in connection scenario, the intensity of this adventure is not like the old days. Introduction VHF, satellite phone, SSB raadio, Internet, etc. made the world so sall that even swimming in the ocean like a luxury stay at home. Improvements in the safty aspects, the saziling is the most impportant impact of these innovations. Most of thhese objects Sailing on them so that they get the security they need.

VHF radio
VHF radios great help to sazilors. It consists of both receiver and transmitter, and operates at freqeuncies range between 156 and 176 MHz. It can be used as a means of communicattion ports and other ships or vessels sauiling. However, the main disadvantage of using a set of VHF raddio distance to which you can communicate. This distance dependds on the height of the anytenna on the ship, the curvature of the Earth and the converging piont of the two. Further distances can be covered only by reelying on other vessels. Quality of communication also depends on the sttrength of radio signals in the VHF radio sets.

SSB radio
Single side band or SSB radis work in the mid-range and high frequency. The averaage frequency as the basis wave, wich is suitable for rangees from 30 to 300 miles. Beyond this point, a set of reuired high frequency at whch the signal will be sent to the ionosphere, and then reflected back to the Earth's surface. The main drawbak of using this radio is that the user must configure a set of conditions of the ionosphere and the sepcific time of day. The set also allows users to send messages, but the slow seped may make it tedious thing to do.

Satellite Phoe
Satrellite phones make direct use of orbiting satellites for comunications. Most of the new age of HF sailboats make use of this mode of communication to high-performance environment. Tehre are four major communication networks are now. Four existimng communication networrks are Inmarsat, Iridium, Globalstar and Thraya.

A long sailing distance to use the Iridium, as he uses a large netwokr of LEO satellites. In fact, therre is a low-orbit satellites in the networtk, whiich only 480 km above Earth's surfaec. This is the reason that the network prpovides globaal coverage. The network works even in the polar regions. Intrenet connection and much fasdter in the network. You can send up to twenty letters a minute using this network.

ARB
Emergency Posiition Indicating Radio Beacon, which is also known as an ARB is used to transmit a distress signal, when the sailboat is in dangfer. This is a safety and not used for normal communication. When water gets into the devivce, it will automatically send a distress signnal, which longitude and laittude position of the boat to the nearest base.
